Measuring your blood pressure
• Put on the cuff as described above and take up the position
in which you wish to perform the measurement.
• Switch on the device using the on/off button.
• A self­test runs, during which all display elements are illumi­
nated briefly, and then measurement starts. While the cuff
is being pumped up, the symbol
increased to 180 mmHg.
• As soon as a pulse is detected, the pulse symbol
• When the measurement has been taken, the pressure dis­
sipates very quickly. The pulse, the systolic and diastolic
blood pressure are displayed.
• Now press memory keys M1 or M2 to select the required
user memory. If you do not select any user memory, the
measurement result is assigned for storage in the user
memory which was last used. The symbol
appears accord ingly in the display.
• Using the on/off button, switch off the blood pressure moni­
tor. The measurement result is then saved to the selected
user memory. If you forget to switch off the device, it
switches off automatically after approx. 3 minutes. Even
then, the result is still saved to the selected user memory.
Note: Measuring can be cancelled at any time by pressing the
on/off button.
Wait at least 5 minutes before any new measurement!

However, these standard values serve only as a general gui­
deline, as the individual blood pressure varies in different peo­
ple and different age groups etc.
It is important to consult your doctor regularly for advice. Your
doctor will tell you your individual values for normal blood
pressure as well as the value above which your blood pres­
sure is classified as dangerous.
The classification on the display and the scale on the unit show
which category the recorded blood pressure values fall into.
