INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
3. Put the Yellofins Apex™ in a neutral position so that the main support tube is parallel
to the floor, and the long dimension of the surgical table.
4. Release the lithotomy handle.
5. Use weights or a force gauge to apply 50 lb (22.6 kg) of
downward force to the main support tube at the location
shown. Make sure that the Yellofins Apex™ does not lower with
the downward force applied.
6. Put the Yellofins Apex™ in a neutral position so that the main support tube is parallel
to the floor, and the long dimension of the surgical table.
7. Release the lithotomy handle.
8. Use a force gauge to apply 15 lb (6.8 kg) of lateral force to the
main support tube at the location shown. Make sure that the
Yellofins Apex™ does not move outward or inward with the
lateral force applied.
Boot Clamp:
1. Grasp the boot release lever and pull up to unlock the stirrup.
2. Move the stirrup through the full range of adjustment and
translation. Make sure that the stirrup moves freely.
3. Move the boot to the middle of the main support tube.
Release the boot release lever.
4. Make sure that the stirrup is clamped and does not move
when light pressure is applied to the stirrup boot.
Strap:
1. Remove the straps. See "Remove the Strap:" on page 30.
2. Inspect each strap for damage. Apply tension to the strap and make sure that there
are not cracks or missing material.
3. Install the straps. See "Install the Strap:" on page 31.
4. Make sure that each strap can be correctly secured to the stirrup boot.
