please read the information under "Hearing systems passport" on
the back page.
When using zinc-air batteries, remove the protective film from the
plus side before inserting. The zinc-air battery then needs a few
minutes to reach full power.

InsertIng the battery

Place your fingernail in the small groove or
under the small lug on the edge of the bat-
tery compartment and open the lid. If there
is a spent battery inside, remove it. Insert the
new battery (see figure) and close the battery
compartment.
The battery compartment is designed to pre-
vent the battery from being inserted the wrong
way round. please do not use force when clos-
ing it.

battery warnIng sIgnal

When battery power is low, the hearing system becomes gradually
quieter at first. Then a battery warning signal is heard. You must then
insert a new battery. The hearing system will continue to work for
approx. 10 minutes after the battery warning signal has sounded.

The battery compartment also serves as an on/off switch. Your
hearing system is switched on when the battery compartment is
fully closed. The hearing system is switched off when the battery
compartment is opened again.
If your hearing system has a push button integrated into the bat-
tery compartment lid, this can also be used to switch it on and off.
Ask your hearing system specialist for details, and refer to the over-
view on page 41. Some hearing systems can optionally be switched
on and off with a remote control. Your hearing system specialist will
be happy to answer any questions you may have on this. Always
switch off your hearing system after use. If you are not going to use
your hearing system for a long time, please take the battery out.

audIomatIc (P) Power-on delay

If your hearing system features Audiomatic automatic power-
on delay, this can be set by your hearing system specialist. After
switching your hearing system on, you have up to 12 seconds to
insert the system into your ear without feedback whistling.
