g) Checking the drive and steering functions

After the transmitter has been switched on and the drive battery has been connected to the model boat, you can
check the drive and steering functions. You should always do this before putting the model boat on the water surface.
Warning!
When checking the drive and steering functions, the model boat must be positioned so that the propeller
can turn freely without hitting any obstacles. Furthermore, make sure that no parts of the body or hair can
get into the rotating propellers. The running propeller can cause severe injury!
You can easily perform short function tests of the drive without water cooling. However, do not let the drive
run at full throttle for a long time, otherwise the motor and the speed controller could overheat and be dam-
aged, which may result in a loss of warranty/guarantee!
Drive function
Forward travel is controlled with the throttle trigger switch (Figure 1, no. 3). Pulling the throttle trigger switch from the
middle (neutral) position brings the propeller into rotation, with the rotational speed increasing as the switch is pulled
further. The motor runs at maximum speed when the throttle trigger switch is fully pulled towards the handle.
Pushing the throttle trigger switch back to the middle position brings the propeller back to halt.
If the propeller continues to run even when the throttle trigger switch is in the middle (neutral) position, this
can be corrected using the trim buttons "TH/TRIM" as described in section 10. i).
Steering function to the right
The steering function is controlled with the rotary wheel (Figure. 1, no. 2). If you move the rotary wheel from the mid-
dle position to the right, the rudder must move to the right as seen in the direction of travel. The model boat will then
make a turn to the right.
