e) Protecting the receiver with a rubber grommet

A rubber grommet is included in the scope of supply. It
must be pulled over the receiver and sealed tightly. It pre-
vents moisture from entering the receiver.
However, first check whether the model boat responds
correctly to the control signals from the transmitter as de-
scribed in section 10. f).

f) Inserting and connecting the drive battery

• If you have not already done so, switch on the transmitter as described in section 9.
• Place the model boat on the included boat stand (it may still be disassembled and must be put together) so that
the propeller can turn freely and the movement of the rudder on the underside of the outboard motor dummy is
not hindered.
Warning!
Never reach into the propeller during or after connecting the LiPo drive battery. The drive could start up
unintentionally. The running propeller can cause severe injury!
• Open the hook and loop fastener (1) on the battery
holder.
• Insert the drive battery (2) so that its connection cable
(3) points forward to the bow. Before doing this, attach
the separately supplied piece of hook and loop tape to
the side of the battery facing the hull.
• Fix the drive battery with the hook and loop fastener (1).
• Connect the rechargeable battery to the speed con-
troller. The connections are reverse polarity protected.
Place the connector on the edge of the hull so that it
cannot get into running parts of the drive.
• A green LED now lights up on the receiver.
• The motor emits 3 beeps. This means that the speed controller has recognised a 3-cell LiPo drive battery that has
been connected (the beeps are generated by briefly activating the motor).
• The motor then emits a low and a high beep, after which the model boat is ready for operation and responds to the
control commands from the transmitter.
If a red LED lights up on the receiver and no beeps are emitted, the receiver has not recognised a valid
transmitter signal. In this case, check whether the transmitter is switched on and ready for operation (trans-
mitter power LED glows steadily).
The receiver must be correctly connected to the transmitter so that it can respond to the radio signals.
Please refer to section 12.
