h) Function G8 "TEMP CALIBRATE"

This function permits calibrating the temperature with a reference
value or setting a temperature offset.
Assuming that the temperature display of another thermometer
shows +22.0 °C and the display of the universal thermostat shows
+21.8 °C, an offset of +0.2 °C must be set for the function G8. Then
the display of the universal thermostat also shows +22.0 °C.
The function can also be used to raise or lower the room tempera-
ture accordingly. If the temperature sensor is, e.g., placed close to
the fl oor, the room temperature is different there than at a height
of 1 or 2 m. Simple setting of an offset permits infl uencing the
control of the connected consumer without having to elaborately
change the programming in the function G2.
Proceed as follows:
1. After selecting this function G8 "TEMP CALIBRATE" and con-
fi rming with "OK" (2), the offset temperature value fl ashes.
2. Set the desired offset (-5.0 °C.....+5.0 °C).with the buttons
"–" (5) and "+" (6).
3. Confi rm the setting with "OK" (2).
The universal thermostat is then in the previous menu for
selection of functions again.
To leave the menu and return to the regular display, push the
button "MENU" (3), repeatedly if required.
If another value than 0.0 °C was set, the temperature display is
now increased or reduced by the set value.
