1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Dieses Farbkameramodul mit automatischem elektro-
nischen Verschluss, Gegenlichtkompensation, auto-
matischer Verstärkungsregelung (AGC) und automati-
schem Weißabgleich ist speziell zur Video-Überwa-
chung konzipiert. Die geringen Abmessungen ermög-
lichen auch die Verwendung als Türspion. Die Bilddar-
stellung auf dem Monitor kann wahlweise spiegelver-
kehrt erfolgen, was besonders hilfreich beim Einsatz
als KFZ-Einparkhilfe ist.
Bei Bedarf lässt sich das 3,7-mm-Objektiv durch
ein Objektiv mit einer anderen Brennweite aus dem
Sortiment von MONACOR auswechseln:

2 Wichtige Hinweise zur Montage
Das Modul ist nach der EMV-Richtlinie 89/336/
EWG (EMV = Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit)
aufgebaut. Damit es auch im Betrieb diese Richtlinie
erfüllt, muss es in ein abgeschirmtes Gehäuse ein-
gesetzt und der Videoausgang über eine abge-
schirmte Leitung angeschlossen werden. Wird die
EMV-Richtlinie nicht eingehalten, erlischt die Kon-
formitätserklärung.

1 Applications
This colour camera module with automatic electronic
shutter, backlight compensation, automatic gain con-
trol (AGC), and automatic white balance is specially
designed for video monitoring. Due to its small size it
can also be used as a door spy. There is an optional
mirror-inverted picture display on the monitor which is
most helpful when the module is used as a parking aid
for cars.
If required, the 3.7 mm lens can be exchanged for a
lens with a different focal length from the MONACOR
range.

2 Important Notes for Mounting
The module is designed according to the directive
for electromagnetic compatibility 89/336/EEC. In
order to meet the requirements of this directive also
during operation, it must be inserted into a screened
housing and the video output must be connected via
a screened cable. If the EMC directive is not ob-
served, the declaration of conformity is invalid.
Protect the module against humidity and heat
(admissible ambient temperature range 0 – 40 °C).

Schützen Sie das Modul vor Feuchtigkeit und Hitze

Schützen Sie die Linsen des Objektivs unbedingt
vor Staub und sonstiger Verschmutzung. Berühren
Sie sie auf gar keinen Fall mit den Fingern.
Wird das Modul zweckentfremdet, falsch angeschlos-
sen oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann für eventu-
elle Schäden keine Haftung übernommen werden.
Soll das Modul endgültig aus dem Betrieb genom-
men werden, übergeben Sie es zur umweltgerech-
ten Entsorgung einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Anschluss des Kameramoduls
Das Modul über die Buchse CN 1 anschließen:

1) Den Videoausgang über ein 75-Ω-Koaxialkabel mit
dem Videoeingang eines Monitors verbinden: Den
weißen Anschlussdraht an die Kabelseele und den
schwarzen Draht an die Abschirmung des Koaxial-
kabels anschließen.
2) Ein elektronisch stabilisiertes 12-V-Netzgerät (z. B.
PS-12CCD oder PS-128A von MONACOR) mit
dem roten (+12 V) und schwarzen Draht (Masse)
verbinden. Dabei auf die richtige Polung achten.
3) Ist der gelbe Anschlussdraht nicht angeschlossen,
ergibt sich eine seitenrichtige Bilddarstellung. Zur

3 Connection of the Camera Module
Connect the module via the jack CN 1:

1) Connect the video output to the video input of a
monitor via a 75 Ω coaxial cable: Connect the white
wire to the cable core and the black wire to the
screening of the coaxial cable.
2) Connect an electronically regulated 12 V power
supply unit (e. g. PS-12CCD or PS-128A from
MONACOR) to the red (+12 V) and black wire
(ground). Observe the correct polarity.
3) If the yellow wire is not connected, a normal picture
display results. For a mirror-inverted display,
connect this wire to ground. Do not connect it to
+12 V, otherwise the module will be damaged!

4 Inbetriebnahme
Nach dem Videoanschluss und dem Anlegen der 12-V-
Versorgungsspannung ist das Modul betriebsbereit. Die
Schutzkappe des Objektivs abnehmen und das Modul
genau auf den Überwachungsbereich ausrichten. Wird
das zu überwachende Objekt nicht scharf abgebildet,
das Auflagemaß korrigieren: Das Objektiv vorsichtig so
weit herein- bzw. herausdrehen, bis das Bild scharf ist.

4 Setting into Operation
After video connection and after applying the 12 V
power supply, the module is ready for operation.
Remove the lens cover and precisely adjust the mod-
ule to the monitoring area. If the object to be monito-
red is not in focus, adjust the mechanical focus setting:
Carefully turn the lens clockwise or counter-clockwise
until the picture is in focus.
