5.1 Locking rims
5.1.1 Setting Flange and Bead Breaker
height
Depending on the type and size of the rim on which
work is to be done, it is possible to select three different
heights for the wheel support flange and two for the
Bead Breaker Support.
Adjusting wheel support flange height:

• Use the lever 1 to rotate the hub nut 2 clockwise.
• Lower the wheel support flange from the fully raised
position to the intermediate position or the fully
lowered position.
• Once the desired position has been reached release
the lever 1.
Note: The flange is supported by a counter-spring.
To transfer the flange from a lowered
position to a raised one, hold it manually
and accompany it upwards after releasing
the nut 2.
Adjusting the height of the Bead Breaker Support:

• Bring the Bead Breaker Support 1 to a position
suitable for insertion of the support pin 2. Operate
the pneumatic up/down control X, until the hole in
the square guide 3 is aligned with the first slot of the
Bead Breaker Support.
• Insert the pin 2 in the guide hole.
• Lower the support until it rests on the pin.
• Pull the handle 4 until the locking Allen keys wrenches
have been extracted.

• rotate with the aid of the lever 5 and accompany
movement by simultaneously operating the Bead
Breaker up/down control until a 180° rotation has
been achieved.

• Push the handle 4 until the locking Allen keys have
been inserted.
• Operate the 'up' control until the support pin 2 is
freed.
• Extract the support pin 2.
On the vertical axis it is possible to obtain 6 different
height combinations between wheel support and
Bead Breaker Disc.
