1. General information

This manual contains information on how to assemble, disassemble and use KRAUSE
Platform Ladders, as well as important safety instructions. For this reason, please read
this manual and the safety instructions in particular carefully before assembling and us-
ing your platform ladder.
Depending on the specific use of your ladder, it may be necessary to fit it with additional
components not included with the ladder (e.g. ballast weights). To make sure that you
will know if or whether you may require additional components to make your ladder safe
for use, please make sure to read the relevant sections in this manual.
If you have any questions about assembling, disassembling or using your ladder not
covered by the information provided in this manual, please contact your supplier.
We reserve the right to make technical changes to the platform ladder described in this
document.
We do not accept any liability for any misprints in these Assembly Instructions and User
Manual.

1.1 Owner's responsibilities

– The owner of the platform ladder is responsible for ensuring: that this manual is
supplied together with the ladder every time the ladder is used, assembled and
disassembled
– that operating personnel are familiar with the contents, safety instructions and
hazard information in this manual and strictly observe all of the instructions given
– compliance with national, regional and local regulations concerning the use of the
platform ladder
– that the platform ladder is only used as intended
– that the regulations (guidelines, directives, laws etc.) concerning safe use listed in
these Assembly Instructions and User Manual are strictly observed
