7. FM RADIO RECEPTION
Hold the menu button down to view the menu options.

2. Use the ◂ or ▸ button to select DRC and press the
SELECT button.
The current DRC setting has a to the right of the display.
3. Use the ◂ or ▸ button to select one of the three compression levels and press the
SELECT button. Your DRC selection (off, low or high) will be shown on the right side of
the display opposite DRC in the menu list.
Press the Menu button to return to the station display.

7.1. FM radio mode

Press the Mode button to switch to FM mode (check the display). If you were listening to a
particular FM station when the radio was turned off, this station will be automatically selected
when you turn the radio back on.
Telescopic antenna
Please make sure that the aerial antenna is fully extended before trying to tune into an FM
station.. This ensures that the maximum signal strength is available when the radio begins
scanning.

7.2. Automatic station scan

Press and hold the TUNE▸ button to begin an FM search.

If an FM station with a sufficiently strong signal is found, the search will
stop and the station will be displayed. If an RDS station is received, the station name
and, if applicable, the radio text, will appear. To set up stations with a weaker
signal, please use the manual station search function.

7.3. Changing FM search settings

Hold the menu button down to view the menu options.

Use the ◂TUNE or TUNE▸ button to view the search settings.

Press the SELECT button. The current search settings will be displayed.
3.
There are two different options:
• Strong stations only.
The scan is only stopped when a strong signal is received.
• All stations
The scan will stop for any received station even if the signal is weak.
4. Use the ◂ or ▸ button to select one of the two options and
press the SELECT button to make a selection.
5. Press the Menu button to return to the station display.
