Sat record
The video output signal (pin 19 of the VCR socket) to the VCR is always available.
In the case of an active timer event, that is when your machine switches to the desired
channel at the pre-programmed time, 12 V are output at pin 8 of the VCR Scart socket
(12 V turn-on voltage).
A «Sat record» capable video recorder recognises this switching signal and
automatically switches to record. On completion of the recording pin 8 is connected as
an input again and is ready for the connection of the VCR signal on playback.
Record link
The video output signal (pin 19 of the VCR socket) to the video recorder is only available
in the case of an active timer event. Pin 8 of the VCR Scart socket is connected as an
input.

Digital audio
There are two operating modes for the digital output of your satellite receiver:
Standard
The signal at the digital output is coded in PCM format («PCM»).
Dolby digital/AC-3
If you have a Dolby Digital System, then you can select the «Dolby digital» operating
mode. When your satellite receiver receives a Dolby digital coded audio signal, then the
digital output is automatically switched from PCM format to Dolby digital format («AC-
3»).

Only use the «Record link» setting when you have a suitable video recorder! Note
that without an active timer event, that is in the normal daily use of your satellite
receiver, no video signal is available at the VCR socket in the «Record link»
operating mode.
In either operating mode you can check the current format of the signal at the
digital output at any time after pressing key A and of course make a different
selection as required (see section 3.6).
standard setting
operation without LNB signal (e.g. only with special cabling systems)
standard setting
For certain units only use the {OFF} setting, as otherwise the receiver
continues to supply power to the LNB also in standby mode.
The power consumption of the receiver can thus increase from 2 watts to up
to 10 watts in standby mode.
The LNB power remains on in standby mode, e.g. to supply power to an
appropriate multi-consumer unit.
22 kHz not active
22 kHz switches between high and low band
22 kHz switches between 2 satellites
activates the tone burst depending on the reception frequency
selects orbit position 1/3 or 2/4
switches between orbit position 1/2 and 3/4
