Maintenance

Cleaning
Be careful
ƒ
Do not use bleach or solvents.
ƒ
Do not use a high-pressure cleaner to clean the
mobility scooter.
Attention
Clean the upholstery and the body shell regularly.
ƒ
Upholstery
1. Remove any light dirt with a solution of a mild
cleaning agent and warm water.
2. Carefully scrub the upholstery with a soft brush if
the dirt has been absorbed into the upholstery.
Body shell
1. Clean the housing with a non-abrasive cleaning
product.
2. Apply a non-abrasive car wax to the housing.
Batteries (see also the chapter 'Use')
Be careful
ƒ
Batteries can be dangerous. Only allow your
batteries to be installed and maintained by
a qualified scooter mechanic. They have the
required qualifications and tools to perform the
installation and maintenance safely and correctly.
The scooter uses two batteries with a 24-volt
ƒ
series connection. Never use both batteries at the
same time:
ƒ
if they are from different manufacturers;
ƒ
if they use different technologies;
ƒ
if they have different date codes;
ƒ
gel in combination with AGM batteries;

Attention
ƒ
Always fully charge batteries before using them
for the first time.
ƒ
Charge the batteries continuously for 24 hours at
least once a month.
ƒ
The battery connection method is illustrated on a
diagram on the inside of the battery cover.
Be careful with damaged batteries. Leave the
ƒ
(environmentallyfriendly) replacement of batteries
to the supplier.
Tyres
Warning
ƒ
For safety reasons always ensure that the tyre
pressure on your mobility scooter is correct. If
the tyre pressure is too low, road holding will
deteriorate, the operating range will be reduced
and the steering will become heavier.
Attention
ƒ
Contact the supplier in the event of a flat tyre.
ƒ
The mobility scooter tyre pressure must be
sufficient. Check this regularly.
ƒ
If the tyre pressure is too low you will not be able
to drive as far.
ƒ
The pressure of the front tyre must be at least
2.0 bar.
The pressure of the rear tyres must be at least
ƒ
2.5 bar.
The maximum tyre pressure is 3.5 bar.
ƒ
ƒ
If the tyre pressure is too high, driving will become
uncomfortable.
ƒ
Regularly check the tyres for wear and tear (due to
drying out).
