General use
Batteries
Reading the battery status
The battery-shaped indicator on the display shows
the remaining battery capacity:
Battery status Indicator
All red and green The batteries are full.
blocks are visible.
3 red blocks are You can drive another
visible 3 - 6 miles (5 - 10 km)
(depending on the
type of battery and
other circumstances).
You should start
charging now.
1 block visible Recharge the mobility
scooter as soon as
possible.
Charging batteries
1. Insert the battery charger plug into the battery
charger contact (P)*.
2. Insert the mains cord plug in a wall socket.
3. Always fully complete the charging cycle of
8 - 10 hours.
Be careful
New batteries must be run in. Batteries only
ƒ
reach full capacity after they have been used and
charged a few times. Take this into account during
your first few trips.
ƒ Charge the batteries daily if you drive a lot with
your mobility scooter and once every few days if
you don't drive often. This extends the service life.
ƒ Always charge the batteries to full capacity.
Avoid draining the batteries completely. The
ƒ
mobility scooter will lose power which will have a
negative effect on the service life of the battery.

Charge fully drained batteries as soon as possible
ƒ
using a 24­hour cycle.
ƒ Do not keep your batteries fully drained for a
prolonged period of time.
ƒ Never put metal parts on the batteries: this may
short­circuit the batteries and damage them.
Attention
At lower temperatures the capacity of the batteries
ƒ
is reduced. This also reduces the operating range.
ƒ Always connect the charger when putting the
mobility scooter away for the night.
ƒ You cannot overcharge the batteries supplied.
Thanks to a voltage limiter, the charger automatically
switches off when the batteries are full.
ƒ Only use Life & Mobility battery chargers.
ƒ If you use batteries other than the batteries
supplied by Life & Mobility ensure that a good
retaining ring is fitted to prevent them moving. If a
retaining ring is not fitted this could lead to short­
circuiting.
Error codes
When there is a error message, the LED Bar will flash.
Error message Indicator
1 block flashes The battery is empty or
connected incorrectly.
Check whether the battery is
connected correctly. Then try
to charge the battery again.
2 blocks flash The electrical connection
to the engine has been
interrupted. Have your
supplier check all engine
electrical contacts.
3 blocks flash Short circuit between engine
and battery. Contact your
supplier.
