Instructions for Use – tRide
Removing the seat unit
The seat can be removed from the subframe without the use of tools. Hold down the lever on the headrest and tilt
the seat unit backwards. The seat unit can then be removed by lifting it diagonally backwards and upwards out of the
mounting adapter on the chassis. It is recommended that you first lock the foot brake in the on position.
Fitting the footrest
The footrest must be secured at the toggle joints. To do this, place the ratchet joints one above the other and secure
with the screws (lever the inside), the washers (lever the outside) and the wing nuts (lever the outside) (Fig. 8).
Lateral backrest upholstery
Place the lateral backrest upholstery over the lateral tube and use hook and loop fastener to fasten the upholstery to
the curved lateral parts of the back section (Fig. 9). Completely close the hook and loop fastener – including over the
knurled screw. Also use hook and loop fastener to secure it to the back section (Fig. 10).
Seat upholstery
Use hook and loop fastener to secure the seat upholstery to the seat. The two lower hook and loop fastener straps
should be secured around the footrest tubes (Fig. 11).
Footrest tube padding
Use hook and loop fastener to secure the footrest tube padding around both the left and right tubes beneath the toggle
joints.
Holders for sun and rain cover
The tRide comes with holders for the sun and rain cover (without leg blanket) as standard (Fig. 12). Their height can be
adjusted as required. To do so, loosen the screws of the holders for the sun and rain cover and move it on the tubes into
the desired position. Then tighten the screws firmly again.
Calf strap
The calf strap is affixed between the two lateral posts of the footrest and supports the user's lower legs. (Fig. 57)
Basket
Fasten the basket (with its opening to the rear) to the four crescent rings on the frame using the spring clips (Fig. 13+14).
The basket may remain attached when folding the tRide. (Maximum loading of the basket: 5 kg).
Parking brake function
Please remove the cable tie that locks the foot brake.
Lock: Place your foot on the brake bar and press downwards.
Release: Place your foot underneath the brake bar and slide it upwards.
Caution: The brake release force is higher than usual in order to provide improved braking performance.
Locking function for the front wheels
Lock: Straighten the front wheels and lock them in-place using the locking pin (audibly clicks into place).
Unlock: Pull out the locking pin and fix it using a half-turn (Fig. 15)
