1. Start NetWare installation as directed by the OS instructions.

The following drivers were detected for this server
Add, change or delete device drivers as needed
On the Options menu, use the arrow keys to choose Modify and press Enter.
03. From the Device Type menu, choose Storage Adapters and press Enter.
04. When the next screen displays, press the Insert key to add drivers. Press the
Insert key again to add unlisted drivers.
05. When prompted to select a driver for each storage adapter, insert the Smart
Array 5300 Controller Support Software Diskette #1 into the diskette drive. Press
F3 to continue.
06. In the pop-up box, type a:\NetWare and press Enter.
07. Verify that CPQRAID.HAM (Compaq Smart Array 5300 Controller) is added to the
list of storage drivers. Press Escape and press Enter to return to Driver Summary.
08. On the Options menu, use the arrow keys to choose Continue, and press Enter.
09. At the next screen, on the Options menu, choose Modify and press Enter.
10. On the Device Type menu, choose Storage Devices and press Enter.
11. If CPQSHD.CDM (Compaq SCSI Hard Disk Driver) appears, select it and
press Delete.
12. Press the Insert key to add drivers. Press the Insert key again to add unlisted
drivers.
13. When prompted to select a driver, insert the Smart Array 5300 Controller Support
Software Diskette #1 into the diskette drive. Press F3 to continue.
14. In the pop-up box, type a:\NetWare and press Enter.
15. Verify that CPQSHD.CDM (Compaq SCSI Hard Disk Driver) is added to the list of
storage devices. Press Escape and press Enter to return to Driver Summary.
16. On the Options menu, choose Continue and press Enter.
17. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete OS installation.
