Pairing BT devices
BT devices must first be paired before they can exchange data. Once paired,
it is not necessary to pair them again unless:
• Pairing is done with more than 8 devices. Pairing can only be done with
one device at a time. This device can be paired with up to a maximum
of 8 devices. When an additional device is paired, the oldest already
paired device is deleted and replaced by the new one.
• This device will be reset. All pairing information is deleted when the
device is reset.
• Pairing information is deleted when re-pairing, etc.
Pairing with other BT source devices
1. Press the STAND-BY/ON button to turn on the device.
2. Press the MODE button (remote control) to select the BT function.
(PAIRING indicator flashes.)
3. Press and hold the STOP/PAIR button for 3 seconds or more. PAIRING
indicator flashes rapidly. The unit is now in pairing mode and ready to
be paired with other BT source devices.
4. Perform the pairing procedure on the source device to recognize this
device. „Kara BT" appears in the list of detected devices (if any) in the
source device. (For details: refer to the operating instructions of the
source device).
Note: Place the devices within 1 meter (3 feet) of each other when
pairing. Some source devices cannot display lists of detected devices.
To pair such a device with the source device, please refer to the source
device's user manual.
5. Select „Kara BT" from the source list. If passcode is required, enter
„0000". Passcode can also be called PIN code, passkey, PIN number or
password.
6. The pairing indicator will stop flashing when the device is successfully
paired with the source device. (Pairing information is now stored in
the device.) Some audio source devices may automatically connect
to the device after pairing is complete. For other devices, follow the
instructions in the source device's user manual to start the connection.
7. Press the Play button on the main unit source device to start the BT
connection.
