Allow the appliance to defrost.
Remove the lid (see Setup and installation).
If required, take accessory parts out the inside
of the appliance (see → Setup and function).
Remove food residues (e.g. due to breakage of
packaging) and packaging residues. Remove

Clean the surfaces inside.
Dry all cleaned parts and surfaces. Correctly
reinstall accessory parts removed.
Properly install the lid (see → Setup and instal-
lation) and close it completely.
Switch on the cooling function (see → page 11,
chapter 5).

12 Maintenance, service, and

Only specialist personnel may carry out service and re-
pair work, including the following function tests.
The appliance does not need any regular maintenance.
In the event of questions relating to maintenance, contact
the maintenance service (see → Maintenance services).

WARNING
Work on the electrical system and re-
frigerant circuit.
Contact with live parts may result in electric
shock. Flammable refrigerant can escape and
cause an explosive gas/air mixture. Fire haz-
ard due to sparking or overload.
Only qualified staff may carry out
work on the electrical system and re-
frigerant circuit.
Note safety instructions, page 7, chap-
ter 2.5.
Observe the electrical safety rules
prior to commencing work.
1. Disconnect the appliance.
2. Secure the appliance against reconnec-
tion.
During the repair a competent per-
son with knowledge of local condi-
tions must be available as contact for
the qualified staff.
Only qualified staff may restart the
appliance and perform functional
tests.

Sharp edges, rotating parts. Hot sur-
faces.
Risk of injury to hand and body. Risk of burns
in the event of skin contact.
Only specialist personnel may carry
out service and repair work on the
appliance.
Use protective gloves.
Touch hot surfaces, in particular the
compressor, only after they have
cooled down.
