6. Trouble shooting

6.1 General issues

My standard USB® cable does not fit the USB® connector in the Unity 2?
• There are two USB® connectors on the Unity 2. One is labelled "USB" which is e.g. for a Bluetooth™ transmitter for
NOAHlink™. The other USB® connector labelled "USB/PC" is the one you should use to connect your computer.
The "Power" light does not light up when the Control Unit is switched on.
• Please switch off the Control Unit and check in undocked mode if the mains power is plugged into socket at the
backside of the Control Unit or in docked mode if the Control Unit is completely plugged into the Docking Station
and the mains power is plugged into the socket on the backside of the Docking Station. Now switch on the Control
Unit again. If the "Power" light does not light up now, please contact the technical service.
The "Docked" light does not light up when the Control Unit is plugged into the Docking Station and switched on.
• Please switch off the Control Unit and check if it is completely inserted into the Docking Station and not tilted. Now
switch on the Control Unit again. At proper contact with the Docking Station the "Docked" light must light up now.
The hardware is not detected on my computer when the Unity 2 is connected via the UCO15 USB Optical Cable.
• Please check if the USB® plugs have been inserted completely on both the computer and the Unity 2. In docked
mode, the USB® connection has to be plugged into the backside of the Docking Station, in undocked mode it has
to be plugged directly to the Control Unit.
• Please check if the 5 V supply is connected.
• Please reassure that the current Unity 2 USB® driver is installed. Please read the references in the Installation
Manual.
• Remove additional HUB's and connect the Unity 2 directly to the USB® port of your computer.
After calibration e.g. of the free field speaker, the full sound level is not reached anymore.
• Please switch the Unity 2 off and on again after the use of the Calibration Software to activate the new settings.
After unpacking and installation of the system for hardware and software, the audiometric headphones do not
provide any tone or particular tones are missing.
• Make sure that the headphone connected has been calibrated with the system. In case only some of the tones are
missing check calibration available for those tones.
The software application says that the module has not been licensed, even if a license code has been entered at
installation and the storing of the code has been confirmed.
• Make sure the correct code is used. Each code is specific to each serial number of the Control Unit.
• Make sure the used license code includes the function you want to work with. Refer to your license code confirma-
tion sheet to check it.
• Make sure you enter the code by using only capital letters from A to F and the numbers from 0 to 9.
• To re-enter the license code, run the installation again until you reach the license code entry dialogue. After enter-
ing the code and the confirmation window has been displayed you can abort the installation process (no need to
run through it again).
It is not possible to start Probe measurements or Testbox measurements from Connexx, using the REM-Link or
the HIT-Link.
• In order for AutoFit, REMLink, and HITlink to function properly in Connexx, the Unity 2 Probe and Unity 2 Testbox
must be selected in Settings > Devices > Insitu and settings > Devices > Measuring Box, respectively, in the Connexx
software.
