feeding
For optimal feeding, place small portions in the
mornings and evenings. Replace leftover feed
and make sure the product is clean.
Note on feeding period
Renowned bird and nature conservation organ-
isations recommend limiting bird feeding to the
cold winter months.
When there is frost and snow, an unusually high
amount of animals will show an interest. This
way of experiencing the natural world offers ex-
tensive insight into the diversity of species among
the local bird population.
Experts are critical of feeding all year round.
As wild animals, birds are very well-adapted to
the changing availability of natural resources
throughout the year, as such feeding them out-
side of the winter months is not only unnecessary
but represents an interference into the natural
world.
Moreover it is also harder to maintain the
necessary standards of hygiene during the warm
months, which increases the danger of deadly
infectious diseases for the birds.
Species-appropriate feeding of wild birds in the
winter, however, draws the attention of children
and adults alike to the importance of responsible
and sustainable coexistence with animals and
nature.
You can also help the birds by making your
garden more bird-friendly – leave the garden
shrubs standing in the autumn, create a compost
or leaf pile.

Cleaning and maintenance

Before adding new feed, the product must be
free of shells and leftover feed. Use a lint-free,
damp cloth to clean heavy soiling. Never clean
with abrasive cleaners! In order to prevent the
growth of mould, the product must be dried after
cleaning.

Disposal
Dispose of the article and the packaging materi-
als in accordance with current local regulations.
Packaging materials such as foil bags are not
suitable to be given to children. Keep the packa-
ging materials out of the reach of children.

service handling
The product was produced with great care and
under constant supervision. You receive a three-
year warranty for this product from the date of
purchase. Please retain your receipt.
The warranty applies only to material and
workmanship and does not apply to misuse or
improper handling. Your statutory rights, espe-
cially the warranty rights, are not affected by this
warranty.
With regard to complaints, please contact the

Our service employees will advise as to the
subsequent procedure as quickly as possible.
We will be personally available to discuss the si-
tuation with you. Any repairs under the warranty,
statutory guarantees or through goodwill do not
extend the warranty period. This also applies to
replaced and repaired parts.
Repairs after the warranty are subject to a
charge.
