7 Maintenance

7.1 General information

A trained specialist is required to repair or maintain the KESO Genie BS or any of its components.
If the KESO Genie BS is defective, contact your specialist dealer.
If you wish to take out a maintenance contract, contact the specialist dealer or ASSA ABLOY (Schweiz) AG.

7.2 Replacing the battery

7.2.1 KESO Genie BS
How to remove the batteries
1 To access the battery compartment, remove the screws from the face plate or fitting.
 The electronics are now exposed.
2 Optional: Remove the bracket clamp on the battery compartment.
3 Remove the batteries from the battery compartment brackets.
How to insert the batteries
Impor tant!
Risk of material damage due to incorrect insertion of the batteries
If batteries are inserted incorrectly, you may damage the knob electronics.
· Pay attention to polarisation when inserting the batteries.
1 Insert the new batteries into the battery compartment.
2 Optional: Refit the bracket clamp.
 The KESO Genie BS is ready for use again.
Optional: How to reset the clock after changing the batter y
If the battery supply is interrupted for more than 90 seconds during a battery change, reset the clock via
the k-entry ® management software or with the PPGV2. The stored authorisation and event data will not be
lost during a battery change.
