Checking the gas pressure (manometer)

The manometer

fin heat exchanger, thus providing the heat pump with information about the coolant
status during operation.
Check the pressure shown on the manometer
Liquid is visible in the manometer. This is not a defect.
The heat pump has an integrated pressure protection mechanism that
automatically switches off the heat pump if the maximum permitted
operating pressure of 4.3 MPa (43 bar) is exceeded.
Typical pressure values of the coolant:
- Not in operation: approx. 1.5 MPa
- Standby mode: approx. 1.5 MPa
- In operation: approx. 3.5 MPa
- Defrost function: temporarily increases the pressure to increase the temperature of
the coolant and melt any ice that has formed.

Leakage

If fluids are coming out of the heat pump, it can be one of the following:
- Condensation water
- Pool water
- Refrigerant
Condensation water
Condensation water forming during operation is normal. There is no damage. The surface
of the finned heat exchanger gets cold, humidity in the ambient air condenses and, in
extreme cases, freezes. Condensation water collects in the bottom tray and is discharged
through a hole and via the drain connection piece
plugged up, the condensation water cannot drain from the heat pump and larger
amounts collect in the heat pump.
Pool water
Leaking pool water indicates that:
• the hose is not correctly installed on the adapter.
• the adapter is not correctly screwed onto the heat pump.
• the seal in the adapter is defective or missing.
• the flow pipe inside the heat pump has a leak.
measures the pressure of the gas phase in the coolant circuit of the
every time you use the heat pump.
