The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accord ance
with the following code:
blue = neutral, brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appli-
ance may not correspond with the coloured mark ings
identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con nected to
the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter
N or coloured black.

stecken. Dabei die für den Akku-Anschluss erforder -
liche Polarität be achten. Zum Be stim men der Polarität
In diesem

3) For connecting the rechargeable battery, either use the
supplied cable with the alligator clips or the supplied
adapter plug.
Connection via the cable with clips:
Connect the plug of the cable to the inline jack of the
cable of the charger. Fix the red clip to the positive
pole of the battery and the black clip to the negative
pole of the battery.
Connection via the adapter plug:
Connect the plug to the inline jack of the cable of the
charger. Observe the polarity required for connecting
the battery: To determine the polarity, turn the inline
jack in such a way that the arrows of inline jack and
plug face each other (see figures below). Then connect
the charger via the plug to the connection of the battery.
4) The charging process will start after the rechargeable
battery has been connected. The green LED lights up to
indicate charging. If the red LED lights up, the battery
was connected with reverse polarity. In this case, discon-
nect the battery from the charger and reconnect it with
the correct polarity.
5) First the battery will be recharged at maximum current.
The charging current will be increasingly reduced until
the battery has been fully recharged and there is only a
low current for trickle charge. The green LED will be dark-
er in this case. In order to recognize it, briefly disconnect
the battery from the charger before reconnecting it. The
LED will briefly be bright, then a little darker. In this case
disconnect the battery from the charger and disconnect
the mains plug of the charger from the mains socket.
