1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Das Ladegerät BC-600L dient zum Aufladen von 2 V-,
6-V- und 12-V-Blei-Akkus (z. B. für Fahrzeuge, Motorräder,
Boote, im Modellbau etc.). Es ist gegen Kurzschluss, Ver-
polung, Überlastung und Überhitzung geschützt. Für den
Anschluss an die Batterie liegen dem Gerät ein Kabel mit
Krokodilklemmen sowie ein Kleinspannungsstecker bei.
2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht der Richtlinie für elektromagnetische
Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG und der Niederspannungs-
richtlinie 73/23/EWG.
Achtung! Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher Netzspan-
nung (230 V~) versorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb nie selbst
Eingriffe im Gerät vor. Durch unsachgemäßes Vorgehen
besteht die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages. Beim Öff-
nen des Geräts erlischt jeglicher Garantieanspruch.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät ausschließlich zum Laden von
Blei-Akkus.
Setzen Sie das Gerät nur im Innenbereich ein. Schützen
Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit
und Hitze (zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
Stellen Sie kein mit Flüssigkeit gefülltes Gefäß, z. B. Trink-
glas, auf das Gerät.
Die in dem Gerät entstehende Wärme muss durch Luft-
zirkulation abgegeben werden. Decken Sie deshalb die
Lüftungsschlitze des Gehäuses nicht ab. Sorgen Sie wäh-
rend des Ladevorgangs für ausreichende Belüftung in der
Umgebung des Akkus.
Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb bzw. ziehen Sie
sofort den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose:

1 Applications
The charger BC-600L serves for recharging 2 V, 6 V, and
12 V lead batteries (e. g. for vehicles, motorbikes, boats,
model making, etc.). It its protected against short circuit,
reverse polarity , overload, and overheating. For connecting
the battery, the unit is supplied with a cable with alligator
clips and a low-voltage plug.
2 Safety Notes
This unit corresponds to the directive for electromagnetic
compatibility 89/336/EEC and to the low voltage directive
73/23/EEC.
Attention! The unit is supplied with hazardous mains volt-
age (230 V~). Leave servicing to skilled personnel only.
Inexpert handling may cause an electric shock hazard. Fur-
thermore, any guarantee claim will expire if the unit has
been opened.
Only use the unit for recharging lead batteries.
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it against
dripping water and splash water, high air humidity, and
heat (admissible ambient temperature range 0 – 40 °C).
Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the unit, e. g.
a drinking glass.
The heat generated within the unit must be carried off by
air circulation. Therefore, never cover the air vents of the
housing. While charging, ensure a sufficient ventilation in
the area around the rechargeable battery.
Do not operate the unit or immediately disconnect it from
the mains socket
1. if there is visible damage to the unit or the mains cable,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled personnel.

1. wenn sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder am Netzkabel
vorhanden sind,
2. wenn nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der Verdacht
auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. wenn Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Lassen Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall in einer Fachwerkstatt
reparieren.
Ein beschädigtes Netzkabel darf nur durch den Hersteller
oder durch eine autorisierte Fachwerkstatt ersetzt werden.
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie am Kabel aus der Steck-
dose, fassen Sie immer am Stecker an.
Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes, weiches
Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemikalien.
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, falsch angeschlossen
bzw. bedient oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann keine
Haftung für daraus resultierende Sach- oder Personen-
schäden und keine Garantie für das Gerät übernommen
werden.
Werfen Sie defekte oder verbrauchte Akkus nicht in den
Hausmüll, sondern geben Sie sie nur in den Sondermüll
(z. B. direkt zurück zum Händler oder zu öffentlichen Sam-
melstellen).
Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb genommen wer-
den, übergeben Sie es zur umweltgerechten Entsorgung
einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Inbetriebnahme
1) Den Netzstecker des Ladegeräts in eine Steckdose
(230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.
2) Mit dem Schalter am Gerät die Nennspannung des Blei-
Akkus einstellen: 2 V

3) Für den Anschluss des Akkus entweder das beiliegende
Kabel mit den Krokodilklemmen oder den beiliegenden
Adapterstecker verwenden:

Never pull the mains cable for disconnecting the mains
plug from the socket, always seize the plug.
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use chemi-
cals or water.
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for any
resulting personal damage or material damage will be
accepted if the unit is used for other purposes than orig-
inally intended, if it is not correctly connected, operated, or
not repaired in an expert way.
Rechargeable batteries which are dead or defective do
not belong in the household rubbish; always take them to
a special waste disposal (e. g. return them to your retailer
or take them to public collecting containers for batteries).
If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively, take it to
a local recycling plant for a disposal which is not harmful
to the environment.
Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance
with the following code:
blue = neutral, brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appli-
ance may not correspond with the coloured markings
identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to
the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter
N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be connected
to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or
coloured red.
3 Operation
1) Connect the mains plug of the charger to a mains socket
(230 V~/50 Hz).
2) Use the switch on the unit to adjust the nominal voltage
of the rechargeable lead battery: 2 V

Anschluss über das Kabel mit den Klemmen:
Den Stecker des Kabels in die Kupplung des Lade-
gerät-Kabels stecken. Die rote Klemme am Pluspol
des Akkus und die schwarze Klemme am Minuspol
des Akkus befestigen.
Anschluss über den Adapterstecker :
Den Stecker in die Kupplung des Ladegerät-Kabels
stecken. Dabei die für den Akku-Anschluss erforder-
liche Polarität beachten. Zum Bestimmen der Polarität
die Kupplung so drehen, dass die Pfeile von Kupplung
und Stecker aufeinander zeigen (siehe Abbildungen
unten). Dann das Ladegerät über den Stecker mit
dem Akku-Anschluss verbinden.
Ladeanzeige leuchtet die grüne LED. Leuchtet die rote
LED, wurde der Akku verpolt angeschlossen. In diesem
Fall den Akku vom Ladegerät trennen und mit umge-
kehrter Polung wieder anschließen.
Den Akku vom Ladegerät trennen und den Netzstecker
des Geräts aus der Steckdose ziehen.

Connection via the cable with clips:
Connect the plug of the cable to the inline jack of the
cable of the charger. Fix the red clip to the positive
pole of the battery and the black clip to the negative
pole of the battery.

Connect the plug to the inline jack of the cable of the
charger. Observe the polarity required for connecting
the battery: To determine the polarity, turn the inline
jack in such a way that the arrows of inline jack and
plug face each other (see figures below). Then connect
the charger via the plug to the connection of the battery.
