You can change the
door from righthand to
lefthand - hinged or
vice versa yourself

Proceed as follows.
The tabletop on the freezer can be remo-
ved thus:
Loosen the four screws
driver. The tabletop can now be drawn out
of the frame
loosened by removing the two front screws
with a key
Lay the cabinet on its back with door
uppermost.
First remove the door handle
Remove the two supporting rails under-
neath the cabinet (not applicable to models
with a base that must not be removed
when changing the door hinging).
On TU-models remove the two front legs
(the legs nearest the door) thus:
Screw the nylon leg
screw in the bush
a screwdriver. Both bush and inner washer
can then be removed.
To remove the door, unscrew the caps
with a knife or something similar and then

Move the hinges
diagonally (upper righthand hinge to lower
lefthand corner and lower righthand hinge
to upper lefthand corner).
The door can now be remounted.
When the door is mounted, a 9 mm distan-
ce piece filler (wood or something similar)
should be placed between the front of the
cabinet and the edge of the door to create
sufficient space for the sealing strip.
Remember to place the correct number of

washers beneath the bottom hinge to en-
sure that the door has the correct height.
Mount the supporting rails and install the
cabinet.
Once the cabinet has been placed in its
correct position, the hinges may need read-
justment. The elongated holes in the hin-
ges make this readjustment possible so
that the sealing strips provide optimum
sealing all the way round.
Starting up
If during transport the freezer has been laid
down, or if it has been stored in cold surro-
undings (colder than +5°C) it must be
allowed to stabilise for at least 1 hour befo-
re switching on.
Start the freezer by plugging into a wall
socket.

Electrical connection

The cabinet is intended for connection to
alternating current. The connection values
for voltage (V) and frequency (Hz) are
given on the nameplate in the cabinet.
Power must be connected via a wall socket
with a switch. The wall socket should be
easily accessible.
All earthing requirements stipulated by

local electricity authorities must be obser-
ved. The cabinet plug and wall socket
should then give correct earthing. If in
doubt, contact your supplier or authorized

electrician.
WARNING - This appliance must be
earthed
The flexible cord fitted to this appliance has
three cores for use with a 3-pin 13-Amp or
3-pin 15-Amp plug. If a B.S. 1363 (13 Amp)
fused plug is used, it should be fitted with a
13-Amp fuse.
