5.5 Return temperature monitoring in the burner chamber.

In order to prevent the heat exchanger from becoming too contaminated, it is important to bring the fire as
quickly as possible above the condensation temperature of the flue gases and to keep it at that temperature. This
should be done by means of return temperature monitoring, which will make sure that the return temperature to
the fire does not get below 60°C. A pump unit is available at Dik Geurts. Application of such a system is necessary
in order to guarantee a proper operation of this product. Appendix 2, figure 2 shows an example installation
diagram.
The various components in this diagram are:
a) Return temperature monitoring (pump unit),
b) Expansion vessel,
c) De-aeration system,
d) Pressure relief valve (3bar),
e) Thermal safety valve,
f) Water supply,
g) Circulation pump central heating system.

5.6 Completing installation

Ø
Check if grit, dust or other materials are left behind in the chimney breast (odours).
Ø
Use clean fabric gloves and avoid fingerprints on the fire and flue pipes.
Ø
Check whether the interior lining and the baffle plates are fitted properly in the fire (if applicable see section 9
'Appliance-specific information'). Correct the position of these plates if necessary.
Ø
Check whether the holes of the secondary ventilation in the back plate are immediately facing the recesses in the
interior lining.
Ø
Clean the fire with a soft cloth and check it for damage. The fire can be sprayed with the spray can supplied.
Before doing this read the instructions for use on the label. Always first check the colour on a piece of white paper
or cardboard before you treat the fire.
First carefully read the user manual before starting to use the fire. We refer to the user manual for lighting and
burning the fire.
