• If necessary, insert the supplied support ring into
the flange before mounting the radiator thermo-
stat to improve stability.
• Then screw the coupling ring onto the adapter or the radiator valve.
Just screw the coupling ring by hand without using any tools.
• Normally, "AdA" is still shown on the display after installation.
• Press the confirmation button (B8), then the display changes to "AdA" with alternating " "
and " " and the motor begins to move.
The device now checks whether it is correctly mounted on the radiator valve.
If a problem occurs, the display shows an error code "F1", "F2", "F3" or "F4". If everything is
correct, the device switches to normal display mode.
F1 The valve is driven insufficiently, check whether the valve is blocked.
F2
The operating range is too wide. Check whether the radiator valve is properly mounted
and whether the coupling ring is properly tightened.
F3
Setting range is too small. Check whether the radiator valve is jammed, blocked or the
radiator valve resistance is too great.
F4
The radiator valve is not installed.
In case of error messages F1 and F2, remove the batteries and restart the setup pro-cess.
You can also use other batteries to check the thermostat.
In case of error messages F3 and F4, insert either the support ring (see previous figure) or
the spacers (0.5 mm or 1 mm or both combined 1.5 mm) between the nut of the valve drive
(B1) and the respective RA adapter (see figure below).
d) Application/advanced configuration
Further configuration of the radiator thermostat in conjunction with the gateway is carried out
via the "Smart Life – Smart Living" app. Observe the operating instructions for the app.
If you want to use the radiator thermostat without a gateway and app, you will find the manual
configuration in the instructions for the radiator thermostat.
Resetting to defaults (gateway)
Follow the steps below to restore the factory settings:
• Connect the product to the power supply and wait until the start-up process is complete.
• Press and hold down the connection button (A2) for more than 5 seconds until the red LED
starts to flash. Release the button.
• The product is now reset to defaults.
To reset the radiator thermostat, please refer to the separate instructions for the
radiator thermostat.

Care and cleaning

Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as
these may damage the housing or stop the product from functioning properly.
• Always disconnect the gateway from the power supply before cleaning.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
