GENERAL CARE NOTES
DANGER OF ACCIDENT!
• Ensure that no care agent, grease or oil reaches the brake linings, brake disc or
tyres, since the brake performance may otherwise be reduced or the wheels may

slip.
• Never use any high pressure or steam jets for cleaning, since this may cause da
mage (e.g. electronic and paint damage, damage from rust formation on the be
arings, etc.). Instead, clean the Ebike manually with warm water, a Ebike clea
ning agent and a soft sponge.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, since they may, e.g., attack the paint.
After cleaning, apply commercial Ebike preservation and polishing agents, es
pecially also to corrosionsusceptible parts.
• In order to prevent rust formation, the Ebike requires care at shorter intervals
in areas with salty air (near the coast) and must be treated with preserving care
agents.
Clean the E-bike at regular intervals (at least once per year), to prevent damage and flash rust. In par-
ticular after rides in the rain and in winter, there may otherwise be rust formation from splashing or
salt-containing water.
STORING THE E-BIKE
If the E-bike is not to be used for an extended period, remove the rechargeable battery. Charge the re-
chargeable battery fully and store it in a dry and cool room. Recharge it for at least 2 hours at the latest
after 3 months.
Clean and preserve the E-bike before storage as described in the chapter maintenance/care. Store it in a
dry room protected against large temperature fluctuations, since this may negatively affect chrome and
metal parts. Also ensure that both the E-bike and the rechargeable battery are protected against outer
influences. Suspended storage of the E-bike is recommended with regard to the tyres.
SPRING CHECK
After an extended period of time without use, perform the items described in the chapter First commis-
sioning/inspections before starting a ride in addition to the regular maintenance work. Specifically
check the functions of the brakes, gearshift, lighting, air pressure and tight fit of the screws, nuts and
quick-clamps. If necessary, specifically also regrease the chain.
