CHAIN GEARSHIFT
DANGER OF ACCIDENT!
• Do not backpedal while shifting gears. The chain might jump off.
WARNING!
OPERATING THE GEARSHIFT
Do not let the chain run too diagonally, since there may be grinding
noise and the wear at chain ring, pinion and chain will increase

have taken a little force off the pedals.
RAPIDFIRE SHIFT LEVER
You can shift the gears on the chain gearshift precisely with the left
and right shift levers. The right shift lever shifts the rear gearshift
and the left one (if present) the front chain ring.
ROTARY HANDLE SWITCH
Turn the rotary handle switch to change the gear. The sight window
on the rotary handle switch shows the gear that is engaged.
The right shift lever shifts the rear gearshift and the left one the front
chain ring.
SETTING
Every chain gearshift must be adjusted from time to time. If this is not done, increased wear, reduced
shifting comfort, up to function failure of the shifting system must be expected.
Therefore, always observe that the gearshift works without problems. If, for example, the gears can no
longer be shifted properly or if you hear any unusual sounds when shifting, you usually need to adjust
the chain gearshift.
PREPARATION WORK
Before you start the shifting settings, check the following things:
1.
Check if the shift cables or cable sleeves are just dirty.
2.
The rear wheel must be fitted tightly and must not have any play.
3.
The gearshift must not be bent. For this, look at the two shifting rollers from behind. They
must be precisely on top of each other, so that the chain from the tensioning roller to the
guiding roller runs precisely straight.
