Connection

Please ensure that all electrical components are switched off before connecting. Your sound system has 6 selectable inputs, and an output with
audio return channel (ACR function). Depending on the equipment type and source used, the following options may be selected:
Note: The physical inputs have the following names (you can change these at any time, as described on page 55):
ARC = TV; HD1 = BDP; HD2 = SAT; HD3 = PS; COX = DVD; OPT = CD; AUX = VCR; BT = Bluetooth®
HDMI® High-Definition Multimedia Interface Inputs (HD1, HD2, HD3)
Modern media players such as Blu-Ray players, sat receivers or games consoles have an HDMI® output. For the best possible sound quality
connect your source device using one of these inputs.
HDMI® High-Definition Multimedia Interface output with Audio Return Channel (ARC)
Connect your TV with this output. If your TV supports the Audio Return Channel function (ARC) connect this output of the sound system
with the HDMI® input of your TV, marked "ARC". This will enable you to play the TV sound through your sound system using a receiver
component built into the TV.
Please note: The ARC function can be used with the sound system at any time and does not have to be activated or deactivated. For your TV to
support the ARC function it must have at least one HDMI® input with Audio Return Channel ARC. The CEC function must also be
activated. For more information please consult the instructions for your TV.
Optical digital input (OPT)
If your media player does not have an HDMI® output, connect it where possible with the input on your sound system marked "OPT".
To transmit the image signal your media player must also be connected to the TV.
