9. Commissioning
9.1. Minimum tests
After the heating device has been fully installed and
connected, you can carry out a check to make sure it
is working correctly.
The following minimum tests must be carried out:
Isolation test with a voltage of at least 500 V. The
isolation resistance must be at least 0.5 MΩ.
Measurement of the power consumption.
Alternatively, a cold resistance measurement can
be carried out.
9.2. Re-installation
If a device has already been in operation, disassem-
bled and set up at a different location, all commission-
ing checks must be carried out again before heating
operation.
During the first charge of the storage heater after in-
stallation, the entire process, starting with the cold
state (room temperature) to the switch-off of the load
controller, must be monitored by a qualified specialist.
Determine the amount of energy used by the heating
device during this process in kWh. This must not be
more than 125% of the rated charging stated on the
rating plate.
NOTE
During installation, check that the thermal insulation
was not damaged during transport.
Damaged thermal insulation must be replaced with an
identical part before the heating device is used again!

9.3. Installer menu

The commissioning of the storage heater by the spe-
cialist takes place via the installer menu. First, the fol-
lowing entries must be made:
Current time, date
DST = summer/winter time switch,
Key tone on/off.
Once the entries have been made, the user main
menu appears. The timer times listed below are set at
the factory. They can be adjusted at any time.

Calling up the installer menu
Hold down the Menu key. The display initially
switches to the CHARGING menu. Continue to hold
the key (for approx. 3 seconds in total). The display
switches to the main menu.
P9 - operation on central charge control
NOTE
No setting is required if the device is operated without
central charge control.
Press and hold the MENU, ENTER and BACK key
for approx. three seconds. PIN code 0000 flashes.
Confirm the PIN code four times with the ENTER
key. Display P9 flashes.
Select display P9. P9 flashes.
Press the ENTER key. OFF flashes.
Use the
Press the ENTER key. Display DC flashes.
NOTE
Display DC/AC stands for the control signal of the
central control device. Either DC or AC must be se-
lected depending on the type used.
