1) Unfasten the hook-and-loop closure of the abdominal strap.
2) Place the brace frame on the patient's back in such a way that the sacral pad is positioned on
the sacrum, and the back pads are positioned approximately 4 cm below the shoulder blades
(see fig. 1).
3) Optional: Adapt the fit by bending the tube frames (see fig. 2) or replacing the lower tube
frame (see the option "Replacing the lower tube frame").
4) Wrap around the abdominal strap (see fig. 3) and determine the required number of abdomi
nal strap segments, paying attention to the minimum and maximum overlapping of the strap
ends (see fig. 4).
5) Remove unnecessary abdominal strap segments by pulling out the connecting rods (see
fig. 4).
6) Reconnect the abdominal strap segments to be used with a connecting rod.
7) Apply the brace frame on the back.
8) Fasten the abdominal strap, ensuring that it is positioned evenly. The strap must not cut into
the abdomen.
9) Attach the Y-hook-and-loop closures for the tension belts to the abdominal belt and determine
the optimal length of the tension belts (see fig. 5).
NOTICE! In doing so, ensure that the angle of the springs does not exceed 20° when
the tension belts are taut (see fig. 6).
10) Shorten the length of the tension belts with scissors (see fig. 5).
11) Attach the Y-hook-and-loop closures to the strap ends and fasten them to the abdominal strap
with hook-and-loop.
Optional: Adjusting the height position of the back pads
1) INFORMATION: To adjust the height of the back pads, slide the upper tube frame
inside the spring adapters. The maximum pull-out height is indicated on the tube
frame (see fig. 7).
2) Loosen the upper screw of the cover on the upper tube frame.
3) Slide the tube frame in the holder, noting the maximum pull-out height.
4) Tighten the screw.
Optional: Horizontally adjusting the back pads
1) INFORMATION: The back pads can be inserted in one of the three holes for horizontal
positioning. Install all cover caps after positioning (see fig. 7).
2) Remove the back pad cover caps.
3) Loosen the back pads from the brace frame.
4) Insert the back pads into one of the three holes.
5) Reinstall the cover caps.
Optional: Replacing the lower tube frame
1) INFORMATION: Optimize the fit of the lower tube frame by replacing the tube frame.
The replacement size may only be one size smaller or bigger (reference number
29R414=XS/S/M/L/XL/XXL).
2) Loosen the screws on the lower tube frame.
3) Replace the tube frame.
4) Tighten the screws.
Optional: Adjusting the angle of the abdominal strap
1) Optimize the fit of the abdominal strap by adapting the abdominal strap angle (see fig. 8).
2) Loosen the screws of the covers for the upper tube frame.
3) Pull off the spring adapter covers.
4) Adjust the hook-and-loop position of the abdominal strap on the tube frame.
5) Replace the covers.
6) Tighten all screws.
