1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten
Diese Kamera ist durch ihr Gehäuse, das gewöhnlich für
Rauchmelder verwendet wird, speziell für den unauffälli-
gen Einsatz in Video-Überwachungsanlagen (CCTV)
konzipiert. Sie ist mit einem 8,5-mm-Bildsensor (
einem 3,6-mm-Objektiv ausgestattet. Zusätzlich verfügt
die Kamera über eine Verstärkungsregelung (AGC), einen
automatischen Weißabgleich und einen automatischen
elektronischen Verschluss (Shutter).
2 Wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch
Die Kamera entspricht allen erforderlichen Richtlinien der
EU und deshalb mit gekennzeichnet.
Die Kamera ist nur zur Verwendung im Innenbereich

geeignet. Schützen Sie sie vor Feuchtigkeit und Hitze
(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
Berühren Sie die Objektivlinse nicht mit den Fingern
G
und verwenden Sie zum Säubern der Linse nur Mittel
speziell für optische Linsen.
Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen des Gehäuses nur ein
G
trockenes, weiches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemi-
kalien.
Wird die Kamera zweckentfremdet, falsch installiert

oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann keine Haftung für
daraus resultierende Sach- oder Personenschäden und
keine Garantie für die Kamera übernommen werden.
Soll die Kamera endgültig aus dem Betrieb
genommen werden, übergeben Sie sie zur
umweltgerechten Entsorgung einem örtlichen
Recyclingbetrieb.

Smoke Detector Housing
Please read these operating instructions carefully prior to
the installation and keep them for later reference.
1 Applications
Due to its housing which is usually used for smoke detec-
tors, this camera is especially designed for the inconspic-
uous use in video surveillance systems (CCTV). It is
equipped with an 8.5 mm ( ⁄ ") image sensor and a 3.6 mm

lens. In addition the camera has an automatic gain control
(AGC), an automatic white balance, and an automatic
electronic shutter.
2 Important Notes
The camera corresponds to all required directives of the
EU and is therefore marked with .
The camera is only suitable for indoor use. Protect it
G
against humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temper-
ature range 0 – 40 °C).
Do not touch the lens with your fingers and only use
G
specific cleaning agents for optical lenses for cleaning.
For cleaning of the housing only use a dry, soft cloth,
G
never use chemicals or water.
No guarantee claims for the camera and no liability for
G
any resulting personal damage or material damage will
be accepted if the camera is used for other purposes
than originally intended, if it is not correctly installed, or
not repaired in an expert way.
If the camera is to be put out of operation defini-
tively, take it to a local recycling plant for a dis-
posal which is not harmful to the environment.

3 Inbetriebnahme
1) Die BNC-Kupplung (1) über ein 75-Ω-Koaxialkabel mit
dem Videoeingang eines Monitors verbinden. Dabei
auf den korrekten 75-Ω-Abschluss am Monitor bzw. bei
einer Serienschaltung am letzten Monitor achten. Bei
einer Kabellänge von mehr als 100 m sollte zum Aus-
gleich von Pegelverlusten durch das Kabel ein Video-
verstärker (z. B. TW-220SET von MONACOR) zwi-
schen die Kamera und das lange Kabel geschaltet
werden.

cker mit 5,5 mm Außendurchmesser und 2,1 mm Innen-
durchmesser benötigt (Polung beachten: Mittelkon-
takt = +).
3) Den Monitor einschalten und durch Ausrichten der
Kamera auf den Überwachungsbereich die optimale
Montagestelle fu ̈ r sie feststellen. Zur vertikalen Aus-
richtung das Kameramodul in seiner Halterung neigen
(Pfeil in Abb. 2). Das Gehäuseunterteil (3) lässt sich zur
horizontalen Ausrichtung auch nach der Montage noch
drehen.
4) Bei unscharfer Darstellung die Abbildung durch Drehen
des Objektivs (4) scharf stellen.
5) Die Kamera an der Decke festschrauben.

3 Operation
1) Connect the BNC inline jack (1) via a 75 Ω coaxial
cable to the video input of a monitor. Observe the cor-
rect 75 Ω termination at the monitor or in case of series
connection at the last monitor. With a cable length of
more than 100 m a video amplifier (e. g. TW-220SET
from MONACOR) should be inserted between the
camera and the long cable to compensate level loss by
the cable.
2) Connect the low voltage inline jack (2) to a regulated
voltage supply (12 V
pose a coaxial low voltage plug with 5.5 mm outside
diameter and 2.1 mm inside diameter is required
(observe the polarity: centre contact = +).
3) Switch on the monitor and by aligning the camera to
the surveillance zone define the optimum place of
mounting for it. For vertical aligning incline the camera
module in its support (arrow in fig. 2). The lower part of
the housing (3) can still be turned for horizontal align-
ment even after mounting.
4) If the reproduction is not clear, turn the lens (4) to bring
the picture in focus.
5) Tightly screw the camera to the ceiling.
