3. F irst carry out the sharpness setting using an eyepiece with low mit geringer magnification
and then replace with the eyepiece with the required magnification.
4. E ach time after changing the eyepieces, carry out the sharp setting again through careful
movement of the tube drive (B).
5. I t is not recommended to use the deflection mirror together with the erecting lens (quality
loss). Recommendation: only use individually.
PRIOR TO OBSERVATION
Try to focus the telescope sharply. It is recommended to begin with an eyepiece with low magni-
fication on a distant Earth object. The created image of the astronomical telescope appears
upright, however, it is a mirror image. In order to obtain a true sided image, remove the deflec-
tion mirror and insert the corrective lens.
SPECIAL INFORMATION
Your telescope is an optical precision instrument, i.e. as with all optical instruments, is should be
kept dust-free and moisture-free; as these are factors that negatively affect all optical systems. If
the lenses are dirty, blow the dust particles off before cleaning the lenses; then clean the lenses
carefully with a dampened cloth for glasses. The lenses must not be dismantled, and there must
be no fingerprints on the surface of the lenses. After observing, keep the telescope in a dry
and dust-free place. Do not expose the instrument to changing temperatures, as the humidity
will otherwise deposit on the objective lens as condensation. If this should occur, place the
objective lens near (not too close) to a heat source, so that the moisture can slowly evaporate.
Cared for this way, your telescope will be a lifelong friend.
