6. Insert the control connector (15) into the panel connector (7) to connect the
control to the heating panel [Fig. H]. Run the control cable on the floor, next

to the bed. Don't crush the control cable between the mattress and the bed
frame.
7. Insert the plug of the control unit cord into the power socket [Fig. I].
For the double bed model it is necessary to repeat operations 5, 6 and 7 also for
the second control.
8. Make the bed as usual.
IMPORTANT: The anti-mite heated mattress cover only works effectively if
positioned inside the bed and covered with a sheet, blankets or duvet and
pillow.
ANTI-MITE PROGRAMME
The Imetec Anti-Mite System consists of a special sanitising programme which,
through the use of heat, interrupts the life cycle of the mites in the bed in a natural
way.
To operate the anti-mite function, follow the following procedure scrupulously once
a week. For the double heated mattress cover, the procedure must be carried out
simultaneously for both sides of the bed.
• Follow the instructions on the arrangement of the mattress cover at the beginning
of this chapter.
• Make the bed by laying the first sheet over the mattress cover. Place the second
sheet and the normal blanket or duvet and pillow on top.
• Turn the heating pad on from the back of the control unit, moving the switch to the
ON position I (14).
• Press the anti-mite function selector (11) and let the heat work for 6 hours
without lying down. The anti-mite LED lights up indicating that the anti-mite
function is active. After 6 hours following the activation of the anti-mite function,
the control turns off automatically and the standby LED (13) lights up to signal
that the treatment is finished.
• Switch off the control from the rear by moving the switch to the OFF position 'O' (14).
WARNING! DO NOT get into the bed with the appliance set to the
anti-mite function.
If the appliance is used with the control set at a higher
temperature than the recommended temperature for night or
continuous use, the user may be at risk of burns or heat stroke.
