The threaded holes for the pedals
located on the hand crank are type
9/16'' x 20 TPI. The thread of the left
hand crank is left-handed (Fig. 2),
therefore turn the pivot of the pedal
anticlockwise to fit the pedal, whereas
the thread of the right hand crank is
right-handed (Fig. 2.1), therefore turn
the pivot of the pedal clockwise to fit
the pedal.
Observe the tightening torque
indicated by the pedal manufacturer.

6 - C H A I N R I N G R E P L A C E M E N T
The Ekar crankset is designed so that the chainring can be replaced without
having to remove the crankset.
To replace the chainring, which requires a minimum amount of mechanical skill
and the correct tools, follow the procedure indicated below, or, alternatively,
have your mechanic replace it.
To always ensure maximum compatibility and efficiency, use only original
Campagnolo components.
- Place your bicycle on a stable support and put on gloves to protect your
hands.
