4.2 Fitting and Application
CAUTION
Direct skin contact with the product
Skin irritation due to chafing or sweat formation
► Do not wear this product directly on the skin.
CAUTION
Incorrect or excessively tight application
Risk of local pressure and constriction of blood vessels and nerves due to
improper or excessively tight application
► Ensure that the brace is applied properly and fits correctly.
NOTICE
Use of a worn or damaged product
Limited effectiveness
► Before each use, check the product for functional reliability and for
possible wear or damage.
► Do not continue using a product that is no longer functional, or that is
worn or damaged.
1) Application (see fig. 1): place the brace over the shoulders like a back­
pack.
2) Hook-and-loop material: route the ends of the lower strap to the front
(see fig. 2) and secure the hook-and-loop closure (see fig. 3). Feed the
ends of the shoulder strap to the front around the chest and secure the
hook-and-loop closure below the chest (see fig. 4).
3) Final check: the correct fit and proper positioning of the brace must be
checked during handover to the patient.
4) Instruct the patient: explain to the patient how to don the brace and
ensure that it is seated correctly. Practice donning and doffing the brace
with the patient.
4.3 Cleaning

► Only clean the product with the approved cleaning agents.
