SITRANS TF
Mounting:
1. Unscrew front cover.
2. Screw the supplied spacer bolts into the right and left screw threads (tightening torque ca. 3 Nm).
3. Remove the left--hand jumper on the PCB which is located under the transmitter.
4. Plug--in the digital display plug--in connector, taking care that the plus side (colored cable) is facing up-
wards. Check if the digital display is functioning, if not, reverse the polarity of the plug--in connector (a
reverse polarity protection is built in), see figure 6.
5. Screw the digital display with the supplied screws into the threaded bolts (tightening torque ca. 2.5 Nm).
6. Screw down the cover once more. We recommend the use of a cover with a viewing window, e.g.
7MF4997--1BE.
7. To operated the digital display, please consult the operating manual provided.
Dismounting:
Dismounting is carried out as for mounting but in the reverse order.

NOTE
A temperature transmitter in a field housing with type protection has different connection
conditions (see Declaration of Conformity).
Therefore upgrading with a digital display is not possible with intrinsically safe devices (EEx ia).
