When preparing a soup, leave a clearance of approx. 5 cm between the lid and the surface of the soup.
The slow cooker should not be used to heat food, but it is possible to place the food in the slow cooker immediately after prepa-
ration in another dish and use the slow cooker to keep the food warm.
If the traditional recipe is adapted to the slow cooker, less liquid may be needed. Due to the lower temperature than traditional
cooking, the liquid evaporates more slowly.
Cut the vegetables into small, even pieces and fry them gently for approx. 2 – 3 minutes before placing them in the slow cooker.
Due to the longer preparation time than meat, vegetables should be placed at the very bottom of the bowl and immersed in the
liquid of the food at all times.
Fat from the meat prepared in a slow cooker does not drip in the same way as in traditional cooking. Depending on your prefer-
ence, cut off the fat from the meat before placing it in the slow cooker.
Most slow cooker recipes require 8-10 hours of low-temperature cooking and 4-6 hours of high-temperature cooking.
After preparing the food in the slow cooker, the heated and covered bowl keeps the food warm for approx. 30 minutes. If you need
to keep your food warm for a longer period of time, you should start the heat-sustaining mode. However, do not keep the food
warm for more than 4 hours. After this time the food will start to dry out and lose its fl avour.
Slow cooking may partially deprive the food of its fl avour, therefore more spices should be used than in traditional cooking.
The bowl should not be submerged in water for too long. The lower edge of the bowl is free of glaze and will absorb water. The
bowl can be fi lled with water for a longer period of time, for example to soak food remains during cleaning.
Product maintenance
WARNING! All maintenance works must be carried out with the product switched off . To do this, unplug the power cord plug
from the socket.
CAUTION! Never immerse the appliance housing in water or any other liquid. The appliance cannot be cleaned under running
water, high-pressure water jet or in a dishwasher.
All cleaning operations must be carried out after all product components have cooled down completely. Do not speed up the
cooling of product components, e.g. by dipping them in water or pouring water on them. When heated, the bowl and the glass lid

The product is used to prepare food placed directly in the bowl, therefore care must be taken to maintain proper hygiene so that
the preparation of food is safe.
The bowl and lid can be washed under running water jet. It is also possible to wash the bowl and accessories in the dishwasher.
However, it is not recommended to clean with the use of the dishwasher too often, as this can lead to damage to the surface of
the cleaned components.
Use a mild dishwashing agent for cleaning. Remove solution residues with a cloth soaked in water (housing) or rinse with a stream
of running water (other components). Wipe the product dry or leave to dry after cleaning it.
The product should be cleaned before the fi rst use and after each use, after waiting for it to cool down completely. Clean any food
residue remaining on the product to prevent it from burning when used again, and to prevent the product's performance from
being impaired.
Do not use solvents, caustics, alcohol, petrol or abrasives for cleaning.
Clean the lid's ventilation openings with a vacuum cleaner.
