Preparing the tool for operation
Screw a suitable nozzle to the air inlet thread fi rmly and securely to connect
the air supply hose (II).
Before installing the blade, make sure that the permissible rotation speed of
the blade is equal to or higher than that of the grinder.
Holding the spindle with one wrench, remove the blade fi xing screw fi rmly
and securely using the other wrench.
Mount the blade with the dimensions specifi ed in the technical data table
on the spindle.
Place the ring under the screw and screw it in. Holding the spindle with
one wrench, tighten the blade fi xing screw (IV) fi rmly and securely using
the other wrench.
Manually rotate the blade (several revolutions) to ensure that the blade ro-
tates smoothly and without jams.
The tool is ready to be connected to a pneumatic system.
Connecting the tool to the pneumatic system
The fi gure shows the recommended way to connect the tool to the pneu-
matic system. This will ensure the most effi cient use of the tool and also
prolong the tool's service life.
Apply a few drops of SAE 10 viscous oil into the air inlet.
If the tool is equipped with a rotation reversing switch, set the correct di-
rection of rotation.
Wherever possible, adjust the pressure (torque).
Connect the tool to the pneumatic system using a hose with an internal
diameter of 10 mm / 3/8". Make sure the hose has a durability of at least
1.38 MPa. (III)
Make sure that the inserted tool is not in contact with any object, then run
the tool for a few seconds to make sure that no suspicious sounds or vibra-
tions are coming from the tool.
Starting and stopping the tool
Caution! Before starting the pneumatic tool, make sure that the mounted
inserted tool does not come into contact with any object or any body part.
The tool is operated by means of a lever which opens the air valve and
thus ensures the supply of compressed air to the tool drive. If the lever
is equipped with a lock that prevents the lever from being accidentally
pressed. Turn the lock, so that it is parallel to the lever, and then pull the
lever towards the tool housing. This will start the tool. Allow the tool to reach
its rated speed and only then start working.
Working with the cutter
Do not use the cutting blade for side grinding. Allow the blade to run at full
speed before starting to cut. Apply only the rotating blade to the material.
When cutting, apply only the same pressure to the tool as is required for
cutting the workpiece Excessive pressure can damage the cutting blade,
which increases the risk of injury.
Securely clamp the workpiece to prevent accidental movement during ma-
chining. The clamping should also ensure that the gap created during the
cutting process maintains the same width or opens. When cutting large
workpieces, a clamp or support must be used on both sides of the cutting
line. The workpiece to be cut shall be supported near the cutting line and
the edge. This ensures that parts of the workpiece to be cut do not collapse
in such a way as to cause a jamming of the blade when cutting.
During operation, sparks can form and fragments of the workpiece can tear
GB
off . Make sure that sparks and loose parts do not endanger the workplace.

MAINTENANCE

Never use petrol, solvent, or any other fl ammable liquid to clean the tool.
Vapours may ignite, causing the explosion of the tool and serious injury.
The solvents used to clean the tool holder and the body may soften the
seals. Thoroughly dry the tool before starting work.
If you notice any malfunction of the tool, immediately disconnect the tool
from the pneumatic system.
All components of the pneumatic system shall be protected against contam-
ination. Contaminants entering the pneumatic system can damage the tool
and other components of the pneumatic system.
Maintenance of the tool before each use
Disconnect the tool from the pneumatic system.
Before each use, introduce a small amount of preservative (e.g. WD-40)
through the air inlet.
Connect the tool to the pneumatic system and run it for approx. 30 seconds.
This will allow you to spread the preservative through the inside of the tool
and clean it.
Disconnect the tool from the compressed air system again.
Insert a small amount of SAE 10 oil into the tool via the air inlet opening and
the holes designed for that purpose. The use of SAE 10 is recommended
for the maintenance of pneumatic tools. Connect the tool and run it briefl y.
Caution! WD-40 cannot be used as a proper lubricating oil.
Wipe off any excess oil that may have escaped through the outlet openings.
The oil left can damage the tool seals.
Other maintenance activities
Before each use of the tool, make sure that there are no signs of damage to
the tool. Keep drivers, tool holders and spindles clean.
Have the tool inspected by a qualifi ed workshop personnel every 6 months
or after 100 operating hours. If the tool has been used without the recom-
mended air supply, increase the inspection intervals of the tool.
Removing defects
Stop using the tool as soon as you detect any defect. Use of a defective
tool may result in injury. Any repairs or replacements to the tool components
must be carried out by qualifi ed personnel at an authorised repair shop.

Spare parts
For a detailed list of spare parts for the appliance go to the "Download"
section in the Product tab on the TOYA SA website: www.toya.pl.

Possible solution
Apply a small amount of WD-40 through the air inlet opening. Activate the
tool for a few seconds. The blades could stick to the rotor. Activate the tool
for approx. 30 seconds. Lubricate the tool with a small amount of oil. Caution!
Excess oil can cause the tool to lose power. In this case, clean the drive.
The compressor does not provide an adequate supply of air. The tool is
activated by the air accumulated in the compressor tank. As the tank empties,
the compressor does not keep up with fi lling in the air shortages. Connect the
device to a more effi cient compressor.
Make sure that the hoses have an internal diameter at least as specifi ed in
the table in item 3. Check the pressure setting to ensure that it is set to the
maximum value. Make sure that the tool is properly cleaned and lubricated. If
there are no results, have the tool repaired.
