Using the Software
Formatting +RW disks on B's CLiP may seem to fi nish in a very short time. Howev-
er the "background formatting" is performed to format the non-formatted segments.

During background formatting;
• You can read from or write to a disk.
• You can remove the disk even while the multimedia pocket device status indicator
is on.
Right-click
• If the disk is removed before completely formatted, the background formatting will
restart when the disk is returned to the drive. Background formatting will continue
until the formatting is complete.

Using DVD-RAM Disk
To write a fi le to a DVD-RAM disk, logical formatting is required.
It is possible to write a fi le to a logically formatted DVD-RAM disk in the same way
as writing to a fl oppy disk or hard disk.
