Basic requirements

• PC or laptop with Windows 98 or later
• Serial interface
• 1MB of free hard drive storage space
• SystemSoft FSA 450 CD (order number 1
687 005 008)
• RS232 cable (order number 1 684 465

Installation

!
All data is deleted on the FSA 450 when a
new software version or a new language
package is installed. If you still need saved
data, perform a backup with the FTU (File
Transfer Utility)

Procedure:
1. Insert the CD in the CD/DVD drive of the
PC. The installation
automatically.

If the installation program does not start
automatically, start it with Start >> Run
and command line D:\M
2. Select Install Bosch FSA 450 Update
Software.
3. Connect the power supply to the FSA 450.
4. Connect the RS232 cable with the serial
port on the PC and COM 1 port on the FSA
450.
5. Select the desired COM port on the PC
with the Setup COM Port... button.
6. Hold down the Up Arrow key while turning
on the FSA 450 and wait until you hear two
brief signal tones.
7. Select <Ok>.
8. On the screen Select Application(s) to
Download, select the software to be
installed with the desired language group
and select Download.
