The R Brake Option fits in place of the
existing inverter cover. Prior to connection,
ensure that the mains contactor is
adequately suppressed using transient
suppressors.
R Brake Option Installation Process:
• Refer to Fig. 4.
• Connect the mains supply to the inverter
via a three phase contactor. Wire the
live supply to the contactor coil through
relay RL100, which is open when the
braking unit is not powered.
• Use a double insulated 2-core cable to
connect to the relay contacts CN101 (1)
and CN101 (2). The diameter of the
outer insulation must be in the range 4.5
to 6.0mm.
• Pass the cable through the PG9 gland
provided (part B3) and secure the gland
to form a tight fit around the cable.
• Connect a momentary action switch
across CN101 (2) and CN 101 (1) to
check the operation of the inverter. The
resistive brake option is powered from
the inverter and once powered, RL100
permanently powers the inverter.
