Treading resistance (Neuro): In the training
mode Neuro (see page 41) you can adjust the
treading resistance.
The actual treading resistance is shown in
16 steps. The 16th step accords to a maxi-
mum power torque of 12 Nm.
You can increase the treading resistance by
pressing the button +. To increase the tread-
ing resistance step by step press the button
shortly.
You can decrease the treading resistance un-
til zero by pressing the button –.
The adjustment will change constantly to
maximum/minimum by pressing the buttons +
and – for longer time.
Power demand settings in Watt (Ortho): In
the training mode Ortho (see page 41) you
can adjust the training "Power demand ". The
wished capacity gets set by the buttons +
and –. THERA-vital regulates the treading re-
sistance in accordance to the number of rev-
olutions.

fore the training THERA-vital will start with the

ing-art "Power demand" and you can choose
the desired number of revolutions (Isokinetic
Mode). THERA-vital regulates the treading re-
sistance automatically in accordance to the
expended muscle-power.

Direction of rotation
The actual direction of rota-
tion is shown by the dark
symbol. If you press the but-
ton the direction of rotation changes.
The direction always changes with a soft stop
and a soft a start. The rest of the parameters
(number of rotations, motor power, arm-/feet-
trainer, spasm control) stay as they were set.
Leg trainer/upper
torso trainer
You can either activate the
leg trainer or the upper
torso/arm trainer. The active trainer will be
symbolised in dark.
Press the button before starting the training,
press it in a pause to change between the
feet- and the upper torso trainer.
The button is not active during the training or
if there is no upper torso trainer assembled.
