Transport and Putting
into Operation

Before first Use

Take THERA-vital out and check it to see if
there are any possible damages as a result of
transport. Also check and see if the line volt-
age shown on the data plate as the same volt-
age shown on your power cable.
In the case of any damage or wrong line volt-
age please immediately contact your deliv-
erer.

Transport of the Device

C
port simply incline THERA-vital backwards as
shown in the picture and pull it right behind
you.
You have to carry the device if you are cross-
ing any steps or stairways. Two people are
needed for that.

Power Connection

How to switch the device on and off

Is the display not lighted you can out THERA-
vital into action by pressing a button at will on
the console 2. The display will get lighted.
Is the display lighted you can start THERA-vi-
tal by pushing START on the console 2 and
start with the training.
You can stop your training by pushing STOP
on the console 2 (pause). Pushing STOP
once again will stop the training and the re-
sults will be shown on the display.

PC-Port

The connection to the PC is directed to an
RS232 interface 16. This interface makes it
possible to update the software or the techni-
cal service.

Operation

Foot-Rests

The foot-rests 5 are applicable for both the
training with or without shoes.

You can easily fix your feet in the foot-
rests 5 with the belts onhand. Therefore the
belt is put over the foot and fixed on the out-
side of the foot-rest 5.
Make sure before every training whether your
feet are in the right position in the foot-rests 5
and are safely fixed with the belts.

Change of radius, without tools
(Option)
After the assembling of most suitable guide
bars the handle length of the feet pedals can
be set steplessly. This way an individual mo-
bility level of the feet (Hub) can be reached for
each patient individually.
Switch THERA-vital off by pressing the
ON/OFF button.
Untie the locking star-shaped screw by
hand.
Bring the foot-rest in the desired position
and tie the star-shaped screw!
Set the pedal on the other side in the same
way. Pay attention to get equal lever
lengths (marks on the handles).
The smaller the length of the han-
dle, the higher the power on legs
and joints.
