Preparation:
▪ Wash the salad leaves and celery stalks, cut the celery into quarters and pour
into the jug.
▪ Add olive oil, lemon juice and water to the jug. Close jug with the lid.
▪ Switch the Smoothie Blender on with the On/Off switch and press the Sauce
button. The programme will start automatically.
▪ Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Jug
The jug is made of high quality Tritan® and is sturdy, light and BPA-free.
The capacity of the jug is 2 litres. Make sure not to overfill it.
When using strongly frothing (e.g. milk) or hot foods (max. 60°C), the jug should
be filled no more than half (1.0 litres).
The closing cap in the lid can be removed by turning it anti-clockwise and used as
a measure (10 / 20 / 30 / 40 ml).
Stopper
You can use the stopper to scrape any food stuck to the edges of the jug back
towards the blade unit. For this, remove the cap from the closed lid and place the
stopper in the opening.
The safety ring on the stopper prevents the it coming into contact with the blade
unit when the lid is closed correctly.
Move the stopper along the walls and corners of the jug so the food can be
blended more.

Safety function

The mixer will only switch on if the jug is fitted correctly. A safety shutdown
prevents the device from operating without the jug.
If the jug is removed when the appliance is operating and the speed controller
is not in the home position, this must be returned to the home position before
continuing to use the appliance.

Starting up the appliance

Clean the jug, lid and closing cap prior to the first use. Ensure that you do not
injure yourself on the sharp blade. Place the dampening pad on the drive unit and
the jug on the pad.
Add the ingredients, close the jug with the lid and closing cap and turn the on/
off switch on (Pos. I). Use the variable speed settings or an automatic programme
as required.
Additional ingredients may be added by removing the closing cap while the
motor is running.
Crushing ice cubes
Insert the ice cubes and close the jug with the lid and cap. Switch on the
appliance with the On/Off switch (Pos. I). Activate the Pulse function for a few
seconds and then release the switch. As soon as the ice cubes fall back to the
bottom of the jug, you can switch on the Pulse function again for a few seconds.
Repeat the process until the crushed ice has the desired consistency.
