Important safety information

▪ Devices can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they
are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the device
and have understood the dangers it poses.
▪ This device must not be used by children. The device and its connec-
tion lead are to be kept out of reach of children.
▪ Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the device.
▪ The appliance must be switched off and disconnected from the
main power supply before replacing accessories or parts that move
during operation.
▪ The appliance should be disconnected from the mains by discon-
necting the mains plug:
⋅ Every time before changing the tools
⋅ after use
⋅ if left unattended
⋅ if malfunctions occur during use
⋅ before cleaning and care.
▪ If the mains connection cable for this device is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or its customer service agent or a
similarly qualified person in order to avoid any danger.
▪ Use caution when handling the sharp cuttings blades, when empty-
ing the container and when cleaning.
▪ After using the device, clean all surfaces/parts which have come
into contact with food. Please follow the instructions in the section
"Cleaning and Care".

Before use

The device may only be used for the purpose for which it is designed and in accordance with these
instructions for use. For this reason, please read the instructions for use carefully before using the
device for the first time. It contains instructions for using, cleaning and caring for the device. We
accept no liability for any damage if these instructions are disregarded. Keep the instructions for use
in a safe place and give them to any subsequent owner together with the device. Please note the
warranty information at the end. The device is not designed for commercial use, but only for the
preparation of household quantities of food.
Observe the safety instructions when using the device.

Safety instructions

▪ The device is designed for short-term operation. After operating the appliance for 45 seconds,
pause operation long enough for it to cool down.
▪ The appliance should be connected only to protective sockets that have been installed in accord-
ance with the regulations.
▪ Only connect the device to an alternating current – with the voltage indicated on the device's
identification plate. The lead and plug must be dry.
▪ Do not pull the mains plug by the lead or pull it out of the socket with wet hands.
▪ Protect the device and the connection lead from the effects of heat.
▪ Do not switch the device on if the container is empty.
▪ Always wait until the blade has come to a standstill before removing the lid.
▪ The blade is sharp. For this reason, always use the protective cover when not working with the
blade.
▪ Do not operate the device and/or immediately remove the mains plug if:
⋅ the device or mains cable are damaged
⋅ you suspect a defect after the device has fallen or something similar has occurred.
Send the device to be repaired if this happens.
▪ Do not immerse the drive unit in water.
▪ Do not use the device in the open air.
▪ In the case of misuse, incorrect operation, improper repairs, and the use of accessories not designed
for this device, we accept no liability for any damage. Warranty payments are also excluded in such
cases.
▪ The device is not intended for commercial use.
Use
The device can be used to chop up and cut into pieces onions, fruit, vegetables, hard cheese, herbs,
nuts and meat.
The appliance has a twin-blade stainless steel knife. The short distance from the stainless steel knife to
the bottom of the glass container means that you can also finely chop small quantities.
Use the speed setting I for cutting and chopping soft foods such as herbs. For harder foods and for
chopping the food into smaller pieces, use speed setting II.
