4.5. After Use of the Displaying Unit
1.
Disconnect the Ambu visualization device from the displaying unit
visualization device, refer to the Instruction for Use of the specific device.
2.
Turn the displaying unit OFF by pressing the power button
the screen. Press OK to confirm shutdown. This means that the displaying unit is powering

. If the battery level is low, charge the displaying unit (see section 4.2).

If needed, dismount the displaying unit from the bracket. Use two hands to hold the display-
ing unit, while pressing the two grey release buttons on the bracket behind the displaying
unit. Pull the displaying unit towards yourself

Clean and disinfect the displaying unit (see section 5).
5.
If the power button
is flashing orange when the displaying unit is turned OFF, the battery
level is below 20%. In this case, charge the displaying unit (see section 4.2).
6.
Between procedures, the displaying unit must be stored in accordance with local guidelines.
5. Cleaning and Disinfection of the Displaying Unit
The displaying unit shall be cleaned and disinfected before and after use according to good medi-
cal practice following the below instructions.
The displaying unit is a reusable medical device. According to the Spaulding's/CDC classification,
the displaying unit is a non-critical device.
Cleaning and Disinfection procedure
The displaying unit can be cleaned and disinfected using disposable germicidal hospital disinfec-
tion wipes designed for hard, non-porous surfaces. Compatible disinfection wipes are based on
Isopropyl alcohol 70-80%, Isopropyl alcohol/Ammonium Chloride or Isopropyl alcohol/Ethanol.
1.
Turn OFF the displaying unit and make sure that it is unplugged from mains.
2.
Follow the cleaning instruction from the germicidal disinfection wipe manufacturer to
thoroughly clean the displaying unit.
3.
Allow the displaying unit to dry after the cleaning.
4.
Follow the disinfection instruction from the germicidal disinfection wipe manufacturer to
thoroughly disinfect the displaying unit with a new wipe.
5.
Allow the displaying unit to dry after the disinfection before use.
6.
If the cleaning and disinfection chemicals used leave a residual layer on the display after
they dry out, use an alcohol based wipe to remove the residue.
7.
If applicable, clean and disinfect the mounting bracket following the same procedure as
for the displaying unit.
NOTE: The wipes shall be moist, but not dripping to ensure no damage to internal electronics
of the displaying unit.
NOTE: If using wipes containing hypochlorite, ensure that all residue is completely removed.
Wipes containing hypochlorite may affect the screen's antireflective coatings over time. You
should limit the use of wipes containing hypochlorite to required cases only.

6. Maintenance and Disposal
6.1. Maintenance of Battery
To prolong battery life it is recommended to fully charge the displaying unit at least every third
month. If the battery is discharged the procedure can take up to 3 hours. The battery should be
charged at temperatures between 10 - 35°C.
If the battery needs replacement, only use spare parts supplied by Ambu. Do not modify
the spare parts. For more information contact your local Ambu representative.
6.2. Disposal
At the end of product life, open the displaying unit and dispose the battery and displaying unit
separately in accordance with local guidelines.
