4.2. Preparation and Inspection of the Displaying Unit
1.
Closely examine the displaying unit and other parts for any damage. Do not use the displaying
unit if it is damaged in any way

Clean and disinfect the displaying unit (see section 5).

If needed, rotate the displaying unit to have the connector ports for the visualization device
oriented left or right in your preferred direction

Choose where to place the displaying unit.
a) Place the displaying unit on a solid flat surface by folding out the stand on the back of the
displaying unit
.

b) Mount the supplied bracket on a pole. First, fold the stand on the back upwards. Hold the
displaying unit with two hands and place the bottom edge in the bracket. Push displaying unit
towards the bracket until it clicks in place. Make sure that the bracket and the displaying unit is
securely in place by tightening the bolts on the bracket

Turn the displaying unit ON by pressing the power button
loading, a live image is available if an Ambu visualization device is connected. Check the battery
indicator

in the lower left corner of the screen when the user interface appears
colour of the battery icon indicates the power level. It is recommended to charge the displaying
unit if the battery icon is orange or red.

Charge the displaying unit if necessary by connecting the power supply to a mains socket and
inserting the power plug into the power inlet on the back of the displaying unit. A lightning
icon
is shown in the battery indicator on the screen when the displaying unit is charging. Make
sure the power supply is present and working at any time. It is recommended to locate the nea-
rest power outlet before starting any procedure.

An external monitor can be connected to the HDMI or SDI port located in the back of the display-
ing unit. USB ports for file export or software updates are placed on the side (see section 2.3).
Please consult the manual of the external equipment for further information.
To avoid risk of electrical shock only connect ancillary equipment, which is approved as medical
electrical equipment.

Connect the Ambu visualization device to the displaying unit by plugging the cable connector into
the corresponding connector port. Make sure that the colours are matching and the arrows are

aligned

Verify that a live video image appears on the screen, by pointing the distal end of the Ambu visu-

alization device towards an object, e.g. the palm of your hand. Make sure that the live image has
the correct orientation

Function
This tab shows the live image from the connected Ambu visu-
alization device.
Press the blue Video Recording button to start recording video
during the procedure. Press again to stop recording.
Press the green Snapshot button to take a still image during
the procedure.
Access recordings. Manage and export files. Login may be
required.
Login is required to access settings, archive and export files
with DICOM.
Access system settings.
The time stamp indicates the time left on the battery
while using a visualization device.
View videos and snapshots recorded in the current
procedure.
Adjust colour, contrast, sharpness and screen
brightness.
