AFS Set 0-10 V – Absolute Humidity Sensor
1.7 Personnel qualification

The electrical connection and commissioning as well as the installation work must only
be carried out by qualified electricians.
1.8 Installation
The first sensor is installed indoors in the room to be dried. Evaluation takes place on the
control unit via the analogue input "E1".
The second sensor is installed outdoors. This measures the dryness of the intake air.
Evaluation takes place on the control unit via the analogue input "E2". The 24 V DC
supply comes from the control unit.
Information on setting the output size of the measured humidity value:
There are three possible physical output options. Particular attention should be paid to
the following in case of differential control with 2 sensors for drying internal rooms:
Factory setting:
MR = Mixing ratio in g/kg (mass of water vapour per mass of dry air). The differential hu-
midity control uses this humidity value to determine the drying potential of the intake air.
Not recommended:
AH = Absolute humidity in g/m³ (mass of water vapour per volume of humid air). This
setting results in the inaccurate determination of the drying potential of the intake air,
which can cause an increase in room air humidity in individual cases.
Not permitted:
RH = Relative humidity in %. This humidity value is unsuitable for the application of diffe-
rential absolute humidity control and must not be set. It can cause building damage due
to a sustained increase in the room air humidity.
