Set comprises: 1 microfibre string mop
with plastic socket, 1 bucket with wringer,
1 window squeegee, 1 telescopic handle, 1
all purpose microfibre cloth and 1 window/
glass microfibre cloth.
Microfibres are very small as a result of a
special splitting process and this enables
them to take up dirt, bacteria and liquids
much better than ordinary cotton fibres.
This means that you can clean faster and
with better results. You also do a good
thing for the environment because in most
cases it's sufficient to clean with water
alone. For cleaning heavily soiled areas, try
using gentle, biodegradable detergents.
How to use
String mop
The microfibre string mop is suitable for
mopping most types of floors. However,
be sure not to use too much water when
mopping a wooden floor and avoid spilling
water as it can damage the floor.
Start by vacuuming or sweeping away with
a broom any gravel or coarser pieces of dirt
that are too heavy to be picked up by the
microfibres. Wring the wet string mop tho-
roughly in the bucket with wringer before
mopping.
It's easy to adjust the length of the telesco-
pic handle to a comfortable working height
for you. Just twist the handle, choose the
length, then twist the handle back to lock it
in position.
Window squeegee
Wet the window with the all purpose micro-
fibre cloth and wipe away dirt. Wipe the
top edge of the window with a dry cloth to
prevent water from dripping down, causing
streaks. Then remove all water by swiping
the window with the window squeegee from
top to bottom or with a sweeping moti-
on from left to right. Finish by drying the
edges of the window with a dry cloth. If you
need to reach higher up on the window,
use the window squeegee together with the
telescopic handle.
All purpose microfibre cloth
The all purpose microfibre cloth is excellent
for cleaning shelves, sinks and toilets. It
removes dirt and bacteria as effectively as
detergent but with water only. Dust and
clean as usual. Moisten the cloth with water
if needed.
Window/glass microfibre cloth
The window/glass microfibre cloth is ex-
cellent for drying and polishing windows,
mirrors and other shiny surfaces. After
you have cleaned the surface, finish by
polishing with a dry window/glass microfi-
bre cloth.
How to care
Clean your microfibre cloths and string
mops often. An unwashed cloth may con-
tain bacteria and can spread dirt instead
of removing it. Machine wash microfibre
cloths and string mops at 60°, in a laun-
dry bag if possible. Don't forget to screw
off the plastic socket from the string mop
before washing. Be sure never to use fabric
softener – it removes the static effect in
microfibre, which is what makes dirt partic-
les stick.
It's a good idea to keep several string mop
heads on hand at home, so you will not run
out between washes. Also, remember to re-
place worn and dirty string mop heads and
cloths occasionally – a good rule of thumb
is to replace them twice a year. SKVALPA
